Hebrew Scripture Reading—Genesis 9: 8-16

Let’s imagine that you’re living life as normal.  You’re walking around and all around you is this bright, radiant light.  It’s like sunlight on a beautiful summer day.   You’re walking around with this light, but you just take it for granted.  You don’t stop to appreciate it.  We could say this light represents the light of God or the love of God.  And, we could say that the kind of life that does not recognize and appreciate this light is like life without religion.

Get on Board! Be an Advocate for Children

This year our church embarked upon a special undertaking called The Moses Project: A Year of Reflection, Action and Celebration.  As part of this, we have partnered with a statewide organization called the Children’s Alliance.  The Children’s Alliance addresses four key areas of concern: access to early learning, child healthcare coverage, child hunger, and the equitable treatment of children of color in our state’s child welfare system.
